I tried to register with Spotter, but it said that my mobile number was in use by another member. How can this be?

Spotter creates an account for you when you send your first txt message. A reply txt is sent to you containing your password (the password is at the end of the message).

You do not need to register if you have already sent that first txt message. Try logging in using your mobile number as login Id, and the password from the txt message. Once logged in, please complete your profile.

My car has been stolen but it's not on Spotter. How do I register my car on Spotter?

Your insurance company will register your car on your behalf. If your car is not on spotter, then call your insurer and ask them to register it with spotter ASAP.

Why do some expensive cars have the standard reward of $150?

The size of reward offered on any car is left to the discretion of the owner/insurer. Spotter does not set the reward.

You say on your home page that each txt message costs 20 cents. Will I still be charged the 20 cents even though I am on a "free txt" plan?

The mobile phone providers tell us that all text messages to short codes cost a minimum of 20 cents (the normal rate) regardless if you're on a plan. We are not making any margin on the text messages.

I tried to enter my suburb (or city) on the Profile page but it says it is not valid.

Please tell us if you're having problems entering your suburb or city. Contact us using the "Contact us" link on the menu.

I registered but I have yet to receive my membership confirmation email. What can I do?

Your registration email may have been delayed, your inbox may be full or you entered your email address incorrectly. You should first enter your email address in the Forgot Password screen. If you still do not receive your registration confirmation you should contact us and give us your details.
