Use your cellphone

Use your cellphone to send a text message of a vehicle's registration to 8811. We will reply to let you know if the vehicle is stolen or not. Of course, if the vehicle is stolen we will contact you as soon as we can!

If the vehicle is stolen we will call you on your cellphone and ask you for the make, model and colour of the vehicle along with its current location.

The first time you text us we will automatically register you as a user. Your mobile telephone number is your login id (no spaces). We will send you your password in the reply text. You should login and update your profile as soon as possible.

Text messages cost no more than the standard rate and may not be included in any free texting plans.

Search

You can search online up to 3 times before you must login in or register. Why? Well, if you search for a vehicle online and you are not logged in then we can't link you to the search. If the vehicle is later recorded as stolen then we have no way to contact you and pay a reward for the recovery.

Register your stolen vehicle

You can register your stolen vehicle on our site. To receive more than 7 days free spotting it must be accepted by your insurer. Why ? It is your insurer who will pay our listing fee and any reward posted. At present we cannot accept vehicles which are not insured. You may only have one vehicle active at a time. If your vehicle is declined by your insurer you may not add another vehicle for another 45 days.

Make a tip-off

A tip-off is information you provide to us about the location of a stolen vehicle. You can make a tip-off online or using your cellphone. Of course by texting us you haven't told us where the vehicle is located. We'll contact you and fill it in for you.

If you see a vehicle that appears to be stolen, but it is not in our database you can still make a tip-off. We will investigate the vehicle and if the information you give us is of interest we may contact you. If the vehicle is later added to our database your tip-off may be invaluable to recover the vehicle.

You may make a tip-off without being a member, but we can't pay you a reward if your tip-off results in the vehicle being recovered. As part of the tip-off process you are asked to register or sign-in.
